Amid the bustling streets of Downtown Los Angeles, Tiffany and Edem's wedding day was anything but ordinary. On Sunday, September 1st, they married at Bonaventure Brewing Company inside the Westin Bonaventure, surrounded by the city they call home.

Getting Ready at the Westin Bonaventure

Tiffany and her bridesmaids got ready in a room at the Westin Bonaventure, pampered by Kelly Zhang and her team, with the LA skyline outside the window. A few floors below, Edem and his groomsmen kicked off the festivities with shots of whiskey. One groomsman's job for the afternoon was to pick up donuts from Donut Friend for the reception.

A First Look Across the Bridge

For their first look, Tiffany and Edem stood back to back on one of the pedestrian bridges and turned around at the same time to see each other's reactions. The moment was breathtaking. Then we explored the overpasses around the hotel, with Downtown's blue glass towers reflecting soft light everywhere, and their friends cheered them on from the sidelines.

Ceremony at Bonaventure Brewing Company

Before the ceremony we used the light bouncing off the surrounding buildings for wedding party portraits. At 5:30 Edem walked down the aisle arm in arm with his mom. Their dog Gus trotted down next, wearing a "Here Comes the Bride" sign and escorted by the daughters of their friends. Tiffany's face lit up as she walked toward Edem.

They exchanged self-written vows full of laughter and tears. Guests tossed flower petals as they kissed, and they stopped for another kiss at the end of the aisle.

Cake, Donuts and Cornhole

After family photos under the ceremony arch, guests headed to cocktail hour with a photo booth and cornhole (including Mr. and Mrs. bean bags). Edem gave a welcome speech after their grand entrance. The cake table had a surprise for him: a vegan groom's cake from Cake Girl, plus cookies and those Donut Friend donuts. The best man and maid of honor gave toasts, Tiffany and Edem had their first dance, and then Tiffany changed into her second dress for the party.

Downtown LA at Night

As night fell we stepped away for portraits in the evening light of Downtown. A sparkler send-off was dampened by strong winds, so the celebration moved on to Shoo Shoo Baby, one of their favorite bars, where they shared drinks with close friends until late.

Brian not only photographed my wedding, but my sister’s and my best friend’s as well and there is simply no one better. He captures the mood, the moments and the vibe of the entire wedding perfectly.
