Brand Library & Art Center

Located in the foothills of the Verdugo Mountains, Brand Library & Art Center is a historic site set within a 31-acre park. The property features classic architecture, towering palm trees, and expansive grassy areas that provide a sense of established character. While the center serves as a community hub for arts and library services, its grounds offer a variety of distinct environments ranging from manicured lawns to natural park elements.

You can host a wedding here with a capacity of up to 150 guests. The venue offers both indoor and outdoor options; however, outdoor ceremonies are restricted to acoustic music, while DJs are permitted inside the facilities. The layout allows for a flow between the plaza and surrounding greenery. Please note that access to library entrances and parking must remain clear during regular operating hours and special events.

I find this location excellent for portraits because of the diverse backdrops, including the architectural details and the mountain views. You will need to secure a photography permit from the Glendale Community Services and Parks Department to shoot on the premises. I recommend planning for these requirements early to ensure smooth access to the various spots throughout the park.
