An engagement session is part portrait session, part rehearsal. We'll pick a location that feels like you, whether that's a favorite coffee shop, the beach at sunset or somewhere completely unexpected, and spend an easygoing hour or two exploring together.
Getting comfortable in front of the camera
Most couples tell me they're awkward in photos. That's exactly why I don't do stiff posing. I'll give you simple prompts and things to do, and within a few minutes you'll forget the camera is there. By the wedding day, we'll already know each other.
Ideas for Los Angeles engagement photos
Some favorites include the bluffs above the ocean in Pacific Palisades, rolling hills near Calabasas, the Santa Barbara Courthouse and downtown LA at night. Themed sessions are welcome too: spooky, vintage, a classic car, your dog.

Questions, answered
How long is an engagement session?
Usually about an hour to an hour and a half, which leaves room for a location or outfit change.
What should we wear?
Something you feel great in. Coordinate rather than match, and avoid big logos. I'll send a style guide when you book.
Can we bring our dog?
Please do. Just bring a friend to take them home afterwards if the location isn't dog-friendly.
