Nestled away in the Sepulveda Pass lies a hidden gem wedding venue, MountainGate Country Club. A quick drive up the 405 freeway, MountainGate Country Club is a beautiful place to get married that is close to the city, yet feels further away, with the only reminder of city life being the bustling highway below. Lush, green lawns flow across the mountainous landscape, forming a wonderful backdrop for gorgeous ceremonies and a great place to get some pre-wedding swings in for any golfer. The MountainGate Country Club is a dream for any wedding photographer.

Wedding Photos at MountainGate Country Club
After chatting numerous times with Alison, I finally had the pleasure of meeting both Alison & Akbar on their wedding day. It was a typical Los Angeles day — 80 degrees with a warm gentle breeze and not a cloud in sight. A perfect day for a wedding. As I photographed details, I met up with Akbar. Knowing that I am also a car-guy, Akbar was excited to share with me that he rented a beautiful 1973 BMW 2002 for the day. Immediately, I knew we had to take photos with it. We parked it in the valet drop-off, where MountainGate staff was beyond accommodating to use the space to shoot in. The results were incredible.
After we finished up taking some portraits of Akbar with the 2002, I captured some sweet photos of Alison, her mother, and her grandmother getting her ready for the first look. This was such a sweet moment between the family’s matriarchs that I’m so glad I had the opportunity to grab.
Just afterwards, we moved to the entryway of the country club, where Alison met Akbar for the first look. Their looks say it all.
