The real turning point was photographing friends’ weddings, which completely captivated me. Soon after, I traded my day job for a full-time career behind the lens, leading to an incredible journey in capturing love stories.

Before you ask, yes, ‘Lovelace’ is my real last name! It seems like fate knew I was destined to be a wedding photographer. Lucky for me, this career allows me the incredible opportunity to connect with amazing couples, helping to capture the essence and emotion of their special day.
Photography is more than just taking pictures for me—it’s about crafting a visual narrative that resonates deeply, capturing the fleeting moments that you’ll treasure for a lifetime. My style is photojournalistic, focusing on candid moments not only of you but your guests as well, preserving the shared joy and celebration.
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m likely diving into a new creative project (like web design—I designed this site from scratch), hitting up Six Flags for some roller coaster thrills, or enjoying life in LA with my wife, Steff. We love taking road trips and hosting game nights filled with laughter and playful banter. Our family includes two adorable dogs: Ollie, a sparkly little Parsons Terrier, and Penny, a lazy little Chug (that’s a Chihuahua-Pug mix).

What inspired you to become a wedding photographer?
What’s your favorite part of a wedding day?
It’s tough to pick just one favorite moment! While the first kiss is undeniably magical, the first dance—along with the heartfelt mother/son and father/daughter dances—truly tugs at my heartstrings. There’s something incredibly touching about these dances that always gets me right in the feels!
How do you like to spend your time when you’re not photographing weddings?
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me adventuring with my wife and our two furry sidekicks, Penny and Ollie. We love hitting the road for camping trips or just exploring new places.
But the real wild times happen during our game nights—imagine lots of laughter, playful teasing, and spirited banter with our family and friends!
Besides all the fun, I’m also a bit of a knowledge junkie, always on the hunt to learn and master a new skill every day.
What are some of your favorite places you’ve visited
Growing up as a Boy Scout ignited my love for California’s wild beauty, especially the majestic Sierra Nevada. I’ve had the incredible experience of backpacking the John Muir Trail twice—back-to-back at ages 17 and 18. A standout spot for me is Evolution Valley in Kings Canyon National Park, with its breathtaking meadows and cascading waterfalls.
More recently, my top travel highlight was exploring Norway with my wife during the summer of 2023. We soaked in the authentic Norwegian lifestyle, enjoying unforgettable moments with our friends!
Do you have any favorite wedding venues or locations?
I’ve had the privilege of shooting at some truly breathtaking venues across the Los Angeles area. From the rustic elegance of Calamigos Ranch to the historic grandeur of Greystone Mansion, each venue offers a unique backdrop that beautifully enhances the romance of your special day. No matter the setting, I’m there to capture the magic and celebration of your wedding.
What’s one thing you can’t live without at a wedding?
It might sound a bit quirky, but I absolutely can’t do without my smartwatch during a wedding! It keeps me connected, alerting me to calls and messages without having to check my phone—I’m usually too zoned in capturing all the beautiful moments. Plus, I always have a couple of protein bars and a bottle of water handy in my belt pouch. They’re my secret weapons for staying energized amid the whirlwind of wedding day excitement!
What are your favorite movies or TV shows?
I absolutely adore ‘Parks & Recreation’ and ‘Bob’s Burgers’—they totally vibe with my quirky personality! Whether it’s Leslie Knope’s unstoppable enthusiasm or the charmingly eccentric Belcher family, these shows have a special place in my heart and always manage to keep me laughing.
What’s a fun fact that most people don’t know about you?
I’m a major tech enthusiast and DIY geek! Beyond using PCs and Androids, I run my own iMessage server for seamless chatting—no green bubbles here! My tech journey includes building my own over-the-top PC and multiple 100TB data servers. All this tech prowess ensures every wedding photo I’ve ever taken is securely backed up and preserved.
