Janna and Tony’s Santa Barbara Courthouse elopement was a rainy day love story with a vibrant twist. Despite the drizzly weather, their unique 50’s inspired attire and the stunning courthouse setting made for an unforgettable day.

Janna’s head-turning purple hair and House of Mooshki dress, combined with Tony’s classic top hat and feather, created a timeless yet bold look. The couple’s flowers were provided by Ella & Louie, while Janna’s hair and makeup were skillfully done by Blush & Bangs.

The ceremony took place on a late February Monday morning, inside the historic Santa Barbara Courthouse. We met at the Hall of Records for their Santa Barbara courthouse wedding appointment where the officiant guided Janna and Tony through the necessary paperwork and oaths. I had the honor of serving as their witness, which made the day even more special.

Due to the rain, the ceremony was held upstairs overlooking the Hall of Records, surrounded by the beautiful moorish architecture. As husband and wife, Janna and Tony sealed their love with a heartfelt kiss. We then spent the next hour exploring the courthouse’s stunning interior and exterior, capturing memorable photographs of the newlyweds.

One of my favorite moments was photographing Janna spinning in her dress, which perfectly encapsulated the joy and excitement of the day. After our courthouse adventure, we said our goodbyes and reconvened at Tee-Off, a classic local dive bar and restaurant. The neon signs and classy ambiance served as the perfect backdrop for even more gorgeous photos of Janna and Tony.

As rain began to fall once more, we used a clear umbrella to create unique, ethereal images with beautiful refractions of light. The blend of colors and light sources gave their photos a cinematic flair, perfect for displaying in their home for years to come.
